E-PRO EUROPE, EIGHTH STAGE OF THE WORLD ONLINE SURF CHAMPIONSHIP
The Surf Web Series heads to the Atlantic and Mediterranean oceans for the E-Pro Europe, the eighth stop of the innovative online competition, to see who will emerge the European champion starting February 15. Official Banner E-PRO EUROPE Fans are in for a treat to a world-class lineup with World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) elite Leonardo Fioravanti headlining the competition. Joining Fioravanti is French CT wildcard and Qualifying Series(QS) standout Maxime Huscenot, alongside one of Portugal’s top competitors, former CT wildcard Miguel Blanco, Spain’s talented Vincente Romero, England’s ripper Stanley Norman and many more. “It is really fun to pull this event together and share some clips that we scored during this hard time,” said Huscenot. “The waves have always been around but it was hard for everyone to be in the water. But I’m happy to share some waves and get everyone frothing.” From the famed shores of Hossegor to the beautiful waves in the Mediterranean, competitors have plenty of clips from a stacked winter season to showcase to the world. Judges, fresh off the impressive showdown at the Wong E-Pro Peru, are preparing their skill set to watch what awaits from the stacked heat draw of competitors. “It has been an incredible year for surfing all over the World,” said Surf Web Series co-founder and judge Gary Linden. “One of the best I can remember. I believe we are going to see some of the best Europe has to offer, show casing the unbelievable conditions Europe has to offer!” But, these events would not be possible without the support of event directors such as E-Pro Europe’s Javier Amezaga and Surf Web Series creator Gustavo Duccini. “We are living in hard times and life is changing fast,” said Amezaga. “We, the surfers, need to adapt to this new reality and keep the competitive spirit. This new format of online competition will give all the surfers a new opportunity to express themselves.” “I see great success in E-Pro Europe taking into account the development team of the event,” said Duccini. “We’ve created a great team with Javier from 3sesenta and, with the already confirmed surfers, I can assure you that it will be a delight show for the fans of European surfers. The SWS format works better and better and we have great confirmed talents from the main surfing countries in Europe which will give us the opportunity to see the best surfing in each country as well as the quality of waves throughout the region.” Official Calendar E-PRO EUROPE Stay tuned for opening day of voting starting February 15 to kickoff the E-Pro Europe.
