Brazil’s elite competitive surfers are ready for your vote! The Round 3 heats of 51 Ice E-Pro Brasil—the fifth stop of the Online Surfing World Championship—can be seen on the Surf Web Series social media platforms. Round 3 features heavily stacked 4-man heats, such as Heat 1 with two Maresias locals: WCT veteran Ian Gouveia, who has been filming all quarantine-long for his YouTube series, and WQS all-star Thiago Camarão with plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

Competitor Thiago Camarão will go into detail about his wave-selection strategy and experience during quarantine in today’s #SurfTalks interview with host Shannon Reporting via @surfopenleague Instagram at 4pm Mex /7pm Brazil time on Friday, October 30. Tune-in to watch!

Round 3, Heat 5 will see CT veteran Willian Cardoso (Balneário Camburiú) matched up with Weslley Dantas (Ubatuba), and Heat 8 with Joao “Chumbinho” Chianca (Saquarema) up against Krystian Kymerson (Vitória) and Caio Costa (Maresias). You’ll have to watch all the heats for yourself and be the judge of who moves on to the next Round, one step closer to the first-ever national title.

Samuel Pupo (Maresias) and Pedro Dib (São Sebastião) were the respective heat winners of the Repechage Round 2 of the 51 Ice E-Pro Brasil, getting another chance to move on to Round 3. The two young talents have gained experience understanding the digital contest process are are ready to wow the judges and the fans.

“This digital format is different in that it’s ideal to find new talent,” contest director Evandro Abreu told Waves in a recent interview. “We’re watching emerging talent paired up against internationally renowned competitors. The event is even better than our expectations with a lot of amazing material coming up through until the final.”
